Class Descriptions

  • Yin & Relaxation

Yin Yoga is a gentle and relaxing all-level class that works deeply into the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine and is suitable to all levels of students through extended holds of postures. Each class ends with a guided relaxation meditation.

  • Align & Unwind

A bit of alignment and a bit of flow. We move and breathe, taking time to pause and feel, observe and adjust. Class is designed around the alignment principles of a specific pose or groups of poses that are meant to educate the body and mind in a meaningful way. Appropriate for advanced beginners or beginners who would like to explore and learn along the way. Modifications and variations are offered to make it accessible to anyone

  • Power Vinyasa Flow

Power Vinyasa Flow yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The Vinyasa practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom, and fluidity in the body and mind. As we ride the waves of breath in our Yoga practice, we learn to ride the waves of change in our lives with more ease. Expect a challenging, fully balanced class of forward bending, twists, and backbends with opportunities for inversions. Some experience is recommended, but not required, as all are welcome to join this vigorous practice to find one's state of flow!

  • Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is essentially what it sounds like—a gentler style of hatha yoga practice. It is performed at a slower pace, with less intense positions, and usually includes extended time for meditation, yogic breath work, and relaxation.

  • Strong & Slow Flow

This is a deceptively challenging flow practice. The mindful, slow pace will allow you to focus on your breath and help you build strength in your entire body. If your looking for a grounding, challenging practice without too much complexity, look no further. Touch upon every major muscle group, get sweaty and cool off before taking a nice savasana. Walk away feeling strong, grounded and at ease.

  • All Levels Yoga

This class is appropriate for beginners through experienced students. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. Options and modifications are offered so the pose can work for you. More challenging poses, beginners vinyasa flow, and/or breathing techniques may be offered with instructions to assist you.

  • Flow & Restore

This unique yoga class offers both Vinyasa and Restorative elements. The greater portion of this class is an all-levels, slower flow connecting breath with movement, allowing the body and muscles to warm up. The remaining 20 minutes of class will move to the ground and shift to a yin-style class.

  • Prenatal Yoga

This class is designed to provide pregnant people with a safe space to connect with their changing bodies as well as other parents to be, connecting their experience to others in their community as well as that of birthing people throughout history, tapping into the innate wisdom within. You will be guided through asana (yoga poses) that prepares you for pregnancy, giving birth, and provides a foundation for postpartum recovery. It will help you cultivate a new awareness that will assist you through labor and delivery, and find a deeper connection with your growing baby. Interweaving mindfulness meditation education as well as addressing the aches and pains associated with pregnancy, the class will help to strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, provide relief and comfort to the areas of the body most impacted by your growing belly. Appropriate for all trimesters, no prior yoga experience required

  • Mindfulness for Stress Reduction

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention from moment to moment in a nonjudgmental way. This simple practice opens the door to self-healing and insight. It also can provide options for coping with the stress of illness and everyday life. These classes introduce you to the practice of meditation, body awareness, and mindful movement.

  • Yogic Tools for the Recovery Community

In this 45-minute long practice, those in recovery are invited to pop in for a session that will consist of techniques and sequences they can experiment with and possibly add to their recovery tool box, in a safe, trauma-informed environment. Students are invited to explore different yoga & mindfulness meditation techniques that might help them on their own personal journeys.

*This class is appropriate for beginners. This class is specifically geared towards and supportive of those in recovery

Services

  • 1:1 Intake/Consultation

The first session with a client begins with a review of their personal history form, which they fill out before we meet. We want to get a full picture of what’s going on with the client at all levels—physically, energetically, and emotionally—not just the pain or other issue that might have brought them to us, though we do ask about that, too. The questions touch on everything from sleep to mood to their thought patterns to what brings them joy. Assessment is a key component in determining whether the client needs a yoga, MBSR, and/or Exploratory Somatic Experiencing session It’s a process of inquiry to help us both discover the underlying issues they’re dealing with, and how therapeutic yoga can serve them.

I also ask clients what they would like to achieve in our work together—what they hope to get out of it. If they don’t know, that’s fine; by the end of the first session, they usually have some ideas. In this part of the session, we also take a few moments to let clients know what to expect for the rest of our time together. (45 Minutes)

  • Exploratory Somatic Experiencing Session

In an Exploratory Somatic Experiencing session, you will work with a trained practitioner (Ashley Krstulovich, E-RYT, YACEP, Intermediate Level III SE trainee) who will guide you through a process of exploring and releasing physical sensations and emotions related to past traumatic experiences. Ashley will help you tune into your body's sensations and guide you through exercises to release any physical tension or emotional distress that may be stored in your body. • Somatic Supportive Touch

These sessions weave together elements of somatic experiencing, NeuroAffective Touch, sound healing, and guided visualization to promote a state of deep relaxation, assisting in the body’s natural healing process. Somatic supportive touch is a wonderful way to help co-regulate your body and nervous system when coping with difficult emotional situations, experiencing high stress levels, recovering from illness, navigating life changes, processing grief or when struggling with depression and anxiety. Somatic supportive touch helps to facilitate a meditative state, releases oxytocin in the body and helps to deepen relaxation and help process stagnant emotional energy that can cause imbalances or sensations of heaviness. While supportive touch is not a replacement for Western medicine or other forms of massage or bodywork, it is a wonderful and gentle modality to use in tandem with traditional medical and other natural treatments. Client remains fully clothed during each session. (60 Minutes)

    $75

  • 1:1 Yoga Nidra & Somatic Supportive Touch

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis)– the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. Your Yoga Nidra session will be combined with Somatic Supportive Touch, which is essentially individualized gentle yoga assists/touch, with areas of focus being the head/hair, neck, shoulders, kidneys, and the joints. These sessions can be done on the massage table or yoga mat & props at the floor. No experience necessary. (60 Minutes)
